Originally formed in the fall of 2008, the Chancellor's Advisory Committee on the Status of Women (CACSW) is dedicated to advising the Chancellor on issues related to the status of women and promoting gender equity at UC Merced. Its members are charged with:
- identifying and analyzing issues related to the status of women at UC Merced, including faculty, staff and students;
- informing and educating the campus community about conditions that impact the status of women within the university; and
- advising and making recommendations to the Chancellor regarding policies and procedures that will improve conditions for women.
